Easter 2015

We woke up to the Easter bunny's baskets for each of us!

James had the best basket of course, full of things he wanted/likes.

We headed over to Grandma Rose's house for an Easter brunch. First, James was excited to have them try his new jelly beans.

Green apple or grass? I think Grandma got grass flavored!

This Mom was excited to try a strawberry mimosa. No jelly beans for me!

The weather wasn't great for an outside egg hunt so Grandma his the eggs in the basement. James always has a great time finding the eggs.

I think Grandma Ross brings home samples from the bank she works at... The eggs always have dollar bills, sometimes $5!

Tia ChaCha and Uncle Rich were kind enough to gift James with some new books! He loved them so much he started reading them immediately.

Grandma always outdoes herself with the holiday decor!

My favorite bunny-

Thank you familia for always giving James a holiday to remember!

FMSC April 2015

Our Spanish Immersion neighbors/community gathered again to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children.

We worked alongside a few of James' friends and their families. It is great fun for the kids and they take it so seriously!

James and Alex (Evan's little brother)

James is in charge of scooping rice!

Filling the bags..

Fun with Evan

At the end it was time to clean up. I've never seen James clean up so well! And willingly :)

100 volunteers can make a difference!

Grandpa Frank Winter 2015

Grandpa Frank came to Minnesota for his annual ice fishing trip. I didn't get any pictures besides this one (and I'm kicking myself) but this shows James teaching his Grandpa all about Minecraft. Poor Grandpa Frank!

Party Time

We were invited to a 60’s cocktail party in January. Cocktail dresses, pearls, skinny ties, tie clips, fedoras, oh yeah.

Those are not real cigarettes. My sister found some fakes and we were all having so much fun posing and fake puffing away!

Our hostess, Inga. Her makeup was beautiful.

Kevin, host and expert geologist. He showed us his rocks :)

Shrimp cocktail and pineapple upside down cake in the background.

Chillin'.

Always prepared. Flasks in purses!

My guy.

Gettin' down with his bad self.

Great party!

Ice Castle 2015

James spent the weekend with Grandma Rose and Grandpa Larry in late January. These are the pictures I received, reassuring me he was safe and having lots of fun!

Tauer Christmas

We celebrated with the Tauers a few days late because Grandma Laura was under the weather. Later in the week she, Uncle Joe and Lisa came over for dinner and presents!

From Uncle Joe- a Nerf drone! Yikes!

First thing James does is try and shoot his uncle!

And then Uncle Joe decides to play.

And then the boxing.

What you don't see is the rough housing and the crying later. James always thinks he can handle it but then it goes too far :(

Jim and James had a surprise for Grandma Laura. James practiced reading his book and then read it to his Grandma.

It's a favorite of ours! The Sweet Smell of Christmas. What a lovely Christmas!
