James finally has started to notice the Christmas tree. He likes to point to the different colored lights and say "Blue!" "Lello!"
James still really like his art desk but he also likes to take his "sketchbook" and one crayon to his chair or other location. Maybe he's inspired by something across the room? I admit, the morning light was fabulous and inspiring. What an artist :)
Our tree went up last week but we, as a family, decorated the tree on Saturday. James helped! He was ultra-helpful in handing his Dada the ornaments from the box.
I didn't capture it but James even put up an ornament.
And then we showed him HIS new ornament. We have started the tradition of buying James a special ornament from US that reflects who he is that year. Last year we received the handprint ornament from daycare (its visible in the following picture) and this year the ornament's theme is...
Blue's Clues of course! I had the ornament made. The front is Blue the Dog, and then back is the Blue's Clues notebook with James' name and date, with the green crayon that Steve/Joe (host) uses to write down the clues. Its perfect for this year :)
Later that night, James and his Daddy read a nice Elmo book.
It snowed! Our first substantial amount so I insisted that we buy James his new snow/moon boots. His old pair won't work, they'd barely fit. Its a shame because he never even wore them last year!
Today (Sunday) we headed to Grandma Bucka and Grandpa Bucko's house in Burnsville. Bucka made Posole (a Mexican soup) and we all enjoyed football. Well, others enjoyed it more than some of us! James was a perfectly behaved little boy, probably because Bucka was well prepared with a giant Blue's Clues coloring book and crayons! It was a good day- I regret that I did not take any pictures :(
Two more weeks and then Mama is off for the Holidays!
